Monday morning and tilddling down with rain - somehow it stopped for my lunchbreak, which allowed me just enough time to run out take a few snaps and get my feet wet.

First up was this fine Small Skipper - nice to get the diagnostic pale undersides of the antenna.

Then a caddis fly - I'd seen these before, but been confused - now this one is officially a
Mystacides longicornis.

White Dead-nettle - well, it might not be the rarest plant, but you got to learn them all!
Hogweed - and I'm not really looking forward to learning the rest of the Umbelliferae family.

Hedge Mustard - common it is: spectacular it is not.

Lords-and-ladies.
