The Bearded One and I attempted an evening bat walk at Ranscombe Farm, near home, in a bid to see a new bat species, or two, or three...
Whilst the evening was pleasant, and we did manage a pint or two afterwards, the highlight of this bat walk was a grotty weed growing in the non-sprayed headland of a cereal field.
