8 May 2023 - Bittern and Cuckoos at Stodmarsh
Had a great wee visit to Stodmarsh this afternoon - Bitterns booming right by the footpath and then doing a quick fly-pass - nice! Several Cuckoos in the area.

7 May 2023 - Turtle Doves nr Ashford
Took a visit just south of Ashford this morning to see some of the Turtle Doves that are in the area. At least five seen - and some shared with my son Max. For how much longer will they grace the UK countryside?

2 May 2023 - Dippers of Blanchland
Max persuaded me to divert to Blanchland - I wasn't sure what to expect, and certainly didn;t expect such a beautiful wee village complete with confiding Dippers on the small river. Brilliant!
