A wee weevil on figwort today in East Malling. Cionus tuberculosus I suspect. Seemingly present on all figwort checked recently, it is common, but at 3-4mm long, this gem is a little tricky to see in the field...

26 June 2022 - Swifts at Cliffe
Spent an hour practicing taking flight snaps of #swifts in the wind at Cliffe Marshes RSPB this afternoon. Vaguely happy with a few - interesting to see their full throat pouches.

25 June 2022 - Variimorda villosa and a few friends
Tumbling flower beetles, so called because main defence is letting go & dropping off the flowers they're on, though they can fly. Species is Variimorda villosa.
