22 May 2022 - Bee-eaters at St Margaret's at Cliffe, Kent

Fun for Max and I to witness the 8 Bee-eaters at Brockhill Farm, St Margaret's, today. A ten minute loiter in the car park...and then some distant calls and distant views got us moving. Superb, as ever and a nice life for my lad. Pleasure to meet up with Tony Morris (eventually)!

22 May 2022 - Firebug on Walmer Beach

Found my first Firebug, Pyrrhocoris apterus, last night on the beach at Walmer, Kent. Smart wee beasties. A spot of moth nectering yielded Shark, Bordered Straw and Toadflax Brocade - nice!

10 May 2022 - Canterbury Cathedral's Peregrine and Swifts

Max and I had a fun couple of hours watching the Peregrines and Swifts perform beautifully at Canterbury Cathedral. The Peregrine's calling as they return to the nest with food offerings. 

10 May 2022 - Bonsai Bank for the Dukes and bits...

Lots of Duke of Burgandy butterflies out at Bonsai Bank, Kent, this weekend - along with just as many people visiting them! Good to see them (the butterflies) doing well!

In addition, many other inverts all out enjoying the sunshine!
