10 June 2013 - Loch of the Lowes, Perthshire

Had an evening trip out to the Loch of the Lowes this evening - prime target was either Otter or Beaver. After a wait of 30 minutes, sure enough, out swims this European Beaver. As the volunteer warden in the hide had only seen Otter on three occasion sin five years I decided to head out moth trapping - and saw a wonderful Badger in the daylight just NE of Pitlochry.

8 June 2013 - Blairgowrie, Perthshire

A short trip up to Scotland resulted in a few days of catching before the weather 'turned'. Had a few trips where I simply drove to locations and tried to catch any moth that appeared in the car headlights. The following four species where all caught this way...

Barred Umber - caught while netting in the car headlights

Narrow-winged Pug

Ochreous Pug
Autumn Green Carpet
