25 Oct 2022 - St Mary's, Isles of Scilly: Red-rumped Swallow
Our last full day and the near-end of a lovely break. First up was the Red-rumped Swallow, first reported yesterday, which had now relocated to the Tregarthen Hotel, Hugh Town.
Second highlight of the day was a fabulous Jack Snipe by the footpath on the way to the Porth Hellich Burial Chamber - haven't seen one for yonks!
And finally, a 'Scilly' Lesser White-toothed Shrew - found by Max as it legged its way across the road up near Telegraph.

22 Oct 2022 - St Agnes and St Marys
An early boat over to St Agnes saw Max and I enjoying Sparrowhawks, Clouded Yellow butterfly, Common Darter and Least Adder's Tongue fern. Heading back to St Marys an early bat at the Star Castle was a fitting end to the day after I say a fabulous Crimson Speckled moth at the Garrison Campsite!
22 Oct 2022 - Pallid Swift at Star Castle, St Marys, Isles of Scilly
After a busy day, news of the Pallid Swift being relocated at the Star Castle resulted in us legging it up the slope to witness this southern European wonder!

14 Oct 2022 - Blackburnian Warbler, Bryher, Isles of Scilly
The 1st winter male Blackburnian Warbler on Bryher, IOS, was a great Friday treat! Nice to see loads of familiar faces. The stuff of dreams - if you're that way inclined... and 'no'. I didn't want to leave it until next week when I have a holiday on Scilly... A few other bits photographed on the islands as I awaited my helicopter to whisk me back to the mainland.
